Cecilia Gunzburger Anderson is a textile historian, museum curator, and educator with a passion for textiles and for interpretation. She has broad knowledge of global textile history and objects with special expertise in textile technology and structure. She has organized exhibitions, published, and lectured on a global range of textile topics including indigenous Mexican weaving, contemporary fiber art, and textile terminology. She teaches courses on textile history and museum practice: Western Textiles, World Textiles, American Textiles, Textile Analysis and Connoisseurship, Museum Curatorship.

Ms. Anderson has worked in curatorial capacities at The Textile Museum in Washington, D.C., the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and the Museum at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She holds an M.A. in Fashion and Textile Studies from the SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee.
